Entrepreneurs and Innovators

The Tier 1 investor visa provides the basis for investors able to invest £2 million in the UK economy to live and work in the UK; we can assist with applications for you and your family to either enter the UK or extend your visas once here.

The Tier 1 Entrepreneur visa was closed to new applicants in April 2019. The entrepreneur visas will, however, continue for extension applications until 5 April 2023, and settlement applications until 5 April 2025.

We have assisted numerous business people and entrepreneurs engaged in a wide range of industries and enterprises under Tier 1.  Consequently we are well placed to provide clear and practical guidance on the criteria to be met for both extensions and Indefinite Leave to Remain, and on the documents required in support and on how to satisfy the ‘genuineness’ test.

There is also a new Start Up visa.  For this visa you do not have to have any capital but you must have an “innovative, viable and scalable” business idea which has been assessed and supported by an approved endorsing body.

The Start Up visa is available for a maximum of two years, after which point you will have to apply to switch to another visa category, such as the new Innovator visa where you can continue to develop your business.
