If you have experience in either Immigration or Housing law and believe that you could make a significant contribution to the firm, we would like to hear from you.
If you are a qualified lawyer but do not have experience in either immigration or housing but would be interested in working for us in a paralegal position, then we would also be interested in talking to you.
For further details, please contact our office manager, Jayne Parker, on email@example.com.
Our paralegals provide administrative and legal support to our solicitors and caseworkers. We expect our paralegals to learn rapidly and in due course to become solicitors or caseworkers themselves.
If you are interested in joining us in a paralegal role please send a copy of your CV with a covering letter to our office manager, Jayne Parker firstname.lastname@example.org.
The two year Training Contract is the final stage of the journey towards admission as a Solicitor. We are an SRA authorised Training Provider.
We aim to grant one Training Contract each year, giving our trainees experience in at least three distinct areas of English law and practice: Immigration, Housing, Public Law, Human Rights, Administrative and EU law.
We generally offer Training Contracts to existing employees who are working with us as non-solicitor caseworker/paralegals. The training can be undertaken on a full time or part time basis and either following completion of all studies or alongside studying for the Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL) or Common Professional Examination (CPE) and the Legal Practice Course (LPC).
We work with Oxford Brookes University, providing an internship programme for law postgraduates who have a particular interest in immigration law.
We also have an exciting partnership with the Bonavero Institute of Human Rights and the Centre for Criminology, both based within the Faculty of Law at the University of Oxford. As part of this programme, we host Bonavero student Fellows, who assist us in delivering a legal aid clinic at HMP Huntercombe, a foreign national prison with a capacity for 480 adult prisoners, most of who are facing deportation. You can learn more about the Bonavero Institute Student Fellowship Programme here
We do not run a work experience programme although we occasionally take law students or recent graduates for short periods in the summer or in holidays. We regret that we are not currently in a position to offer work experience to school students.
