If your landlord or mortgage company has applied to the court for possession of your home and a hearing has been listed for a Tuesday morning at Oxford County Court then our duty legal advisor will be able to represent you at the court hearing free of charge under the Housing Possession Court Duty Scheme.
The scheme is administered by the Legal Aid Agency and help is available to anyone who has a possession hearing on a Tuesday morning regardless of your financial circumstances or the nature of the case against you. We are, however, required by the Legal Aid Agency to ask for some of your personal details as well as details of your income.
If you would like representation under the scheme you should ensure that you arrive at Court at least half an hour before your hearing as the duty advisor may be seeing a large number of people.
