Zeynep Celikcan

Paralegal

Zeynep is a paralegal in Turpin Miller’s asylum and statelessness team, particularly focusing on gender-based violence related asylum cases.

Her route into immigration runs through the women’s sector. Before joining the firm, she coordinated casework and frontline support for survivors of gender-based violence, much of it with Turkish, Kurdish, and other immigrant Middle Eastern women. She also has a research background in human rights and migration. She holds a First-Class degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from King’s College London and an MPhil in Global and Area Studies from the University of Oxford, where she specialised in minority rights in the Middle East.

Alongside English, she speaks Turkish fluently.
