Katherine Soroya

Senior Caseworker

Katherine is a member of the Legal Aid team. She is accredited by the Law Society as a Supervising Immigration Caseworker.

She has particular experience in supporting clients through the asylum process, with a particular focus on gender and sexual identity based claims. She also has specialism in trafficking matters.

She was called to the Bar in 2022 after receiving a the Albion Richardson Scholarship from Gray’s Inn. She graduated from Oxford Brookes in 2019 with a distinction for the Graduate Diploma in Law and was the recipient of the School of Law Diploma Prize.

She holds an MSc in International Politics from the School of Oriental and African Studies and a BA in International Relations from Queen Mary, University of London.
