The Home Office has announced that out of country spouse applications will now be decided within six months rather than the usual three months.
This is being attributed to a reallocation of resources to applications made by Ukrainians fleeing the conflict.
Decision-making in other categories has also slowed down but not as significantly. Instead, work and student applications are currently taking a few weeks more, on average.
There is no indication at this time that in-country applications are being affected.
