Home Office fees increase on 9 April 2025

The Home Office has announced new fee increases to applications across the board from 9 April 2025.

The application fee for out-of-country family applications is going up to £1,938 (from £1846). For in-country applications, it will be £1,321 (up from £1258). Indefinite leave to remain/settlement applications will now be £3,029 when lodged in the UK (up from £2,885).

Most other applications, including Skilled Worker, Innovator and Student applications, are going up by between £50 and £100.

Naturalisation applications will be £1,605 (not including the £130 citizenship ceremony fee).

If your visa is due to expire soon, contact our friendly team to find out if you can lodge the application in time to beat the increase. In many cases, it is possible to lodge an application up to two months before the expiry date or the date you complete your five or 10 years, in the case of ILR applications, though this has to be handled carefully with respect to timings.
