Josh Asokan

Senior Caseworker

Josh is accredited by the Law Society as a Senior Caseworker and is a member of the Legal Aid team.

Josh specialises in working with unaccompanied asylum-seeking children and also provides training in refugee law to undergraduate law students at Oxford University through a partnership between Turpin Miller and the Faculty of Law. He is regularly invited to speak on refugee law and policy in a number of different contexts, ranging from radio interviews to UN panel discussions.

Having studied music at Oxford University and the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, Josh also maintains a schedule of engagements as a professional musician. He has performed as a conductor and concert pianist in 7 countries and his work has been recognised by Arts Council England, earning him endorsement as an emerging leader under the Global Talent scheme.  Josh is the Artistic Director of Odyssey Ensemble – the UK’s first orchestra exclusively dedicated to advocating for the human dignity of refugees.
