We offer confidential advice about your financial matters and debts, no matter how large or small they are. We can also offer advice on how to increase your income as many people fall into debt because they do not claim all the benefits they are entitled to.
We offer specialist help and advice on the following:
- Debt Relief Orders & debt disputes
- County Court Judgments
- Mortgage / Rent Arrears and Re-possessions
- Bailiffs
- Bankruptcy & Insolvency
- Charging Orders
- Negotiation with creditors
- Representation in Court in relation to credit debts
Please tell creditors you have contacted us for help. Most creditors welcome the involvement of a specialist adviser. They may be willing to hold off action if an agreement is to be reached soon.
Our contacts in the community
We work closely with a number of other advice agencies as well as taking direct referrals. Money problems are often related to other issues such as employment, housing, benefits or ill health and we can make referrals both to outside agencies and, internally, to our other Departments to provide expert advice and assistance with associated issues.
Funding
We have a variety of levels of fee earners who can offer different private rates and some types of work can be completed on a fixed fee basis.
We also have a contract with the Legal Services Commission to provide legal aid for some types of money advice.
Location
Our money advice team is based in Oxford and can offer appointments at a location convenient for you.
