Emma Burgess
Emma Burgess is a non-practising Barrister and Solicitor in the Community Care Department. She works in both the Oxford and Reading offices.
She studied law and politics at Southampton University, graduating with First Class Honours. After leaving university Emma undertook a series of internships in law firms in Cape Town, Buenos Aires and Shanghai. She obtained her BVC at The College of Law and was called to the Bar in 2008.
She then gained experience in private practice and Local Authority work, predominantly in the fields of Community Care and childcare law and in 2010 transferred her training, joining Turpin & Miller LLP and qualifying as a Solicitor later that year. She also became a Level 1 Accredited Immigration Caseworker in 2010.
She is a member of the Honourable Society of Inner Temple
