Support for Foreign Nationals
If you have come to the UK from abroad and you are unable to support yourself, you may be entitled to financial support, accommodation and welfare benefits from the local authority social services or housing department, benefits or other Government agencies.
The support you may be able to access will depend on your immigration status in the UK. Your rights will differ depending on whether you are in the UK claiming asylum, waiting to return home, on a permit or visa or if you are a European national. Support may also depend on whether you have children or if you are in poor health.
This is a complex area and our specialist team can advise you on any rights and entitlements you may have. Our team may also be able to assist you with applications and with reviewing and appealing negative decisions and if necessary challenging by way of Judicial Review in the High Court.
The team is experienced in Immigration law and works closely with our Immigration department to ensure that all aspects of your case are fully considered.
